Human dignity finds protection in rational legal norms and, simultaneously, in moral values which, together, act on people's conduct in a cogent and intentional way, respectively. From this understanding, it can be said that, theoretically, there is no room for non-compliance. However, this is not the case in practice. Dignity is violated everywhere by people, groups, companies, institutions, or nation states, whether democratic or not, and regardless of ideology, whether liberal, progressive, conservative, libertarian, totalitarian or autocratic, right or left. The aim of this article is to deepen the analysis of human dignity based on the moral foundations of the interpreter and to offer a new understanding of the subject to promote the protection of human beings.
