Abstract

This text intends to discuss the creation and sovereign survival of modern/contemporary Afghanistan, detailing the historical, military, religious, economic and geopolitical events that preceded the failed attempts at domination of the country by the British Empire (1887-1919), by the Soviet Union (1979-1989), and by the United States of America and its NATO allies (2001-2021).
