A Dignidade da Pessoa Humana na Sociedade de Risco

Abstract

This article analyzes the meaning of human dignity in the risk society. Th e issue of human dignity and the basic standard of living worsens for the situation of denial of basic rights by the anti-terrorist hysteria that followed the September 11, and the appropriation of positive State resources, always conditioned by the scarcity of budgetary resources, elites and middle classes, with the breach of the commitment of the welfare state and democratic rule of law with the poorest.
