Introduction - Public policies are fundamental government programs to reduce the psychosocial damage experienced by young people in situations of social vulnerability. Objective - to summarize the evidence on public policies aimed at caring for young people in situations of social vulnerability. Materials and Methods - an integrative review was carried out on peer-reviewed journals, theses and dissertations in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online, Journal Portal Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel, Pubmed and the Brazilian Library of Theses and Dissertations. 10 articles were included according to the eligibility criteria. Results - The need to improve public policies aimed at young people in contexts of social vulnerability through an intersectional perspective was noticeable. It is essential to strengthen support networks to assist the psychosocial factors of young people and their families. Conclusions - Social determinants such as race, gender, culture, social class, sexuality, schooling and immigration are fundamental elements and are directly associated with the demands of public policies.
