Abstract

Objectives- To validate an educational technology on guidance and education for patients in oncology palliative care at home from the synthesis and translation of the knowledge available in the literature and its content under the analysis of expert judges. Material and methods- Methodological study with a quantitative approach for the validation of ET content, consisted of sending an email containing a link to the assessment instrument to be filled in Google Forms, an acceptance link and a copy of the educational technology in PDF, to expert judges from the health area and judges from the humanities, who accepted the previous invitation to participate in the research. Results and discussion- 5 expert judges from the health area and 3 judges from other areas participated in the research. The instrument of the judges in the health area obtained, by the Global Content Validity Index, an index of 0.80. To be considered validated, at least a Content Validity Index of 0.70 must be obtained. As for the evaluation of judges from other areas, for educational technology to be adequate, the adapted instrument SAM was used, which must reach 10 or more points, and in the case of the booklet, it presented between 24 and 26, therefore adequate. Conclusion- The booklet was considered validated and adequate, according to expert judges in the health area and professionals from other areas, which makes it a reliable and accessible instrument for cancer patients to obtain correct information and guidance and to be used as support material in education. in health.
